Hello my lovely lemons!

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, and have taken a break to refresh and revamp for 2021.

The last few years, I have started my resolution planning on what is the “first work day” after the holidays.

That means... Yesterday was my first day of the new year. Sneaky right?

I find that this really gives me time to stop, and reflect, and plan out what my goals are for the year ahead. It was hard for me to think about 2021 when I was still living in the dumpster fire of 2020.

I started to write my list of resolutions for 2021 on the evening of January 3. Which was my last night before going back to work.

What does my list look like?

Oh you know, the typical items are on it, but in reality, its really a goal list to give me something to strive for. So here it is, in all its glory:

🍋read at least 1 book a month

🍋go on at least 2 photo walks per month (weather permitting)

🍋work on secret project (TBA at a later date)

🍋post at least 1 blog post per week

🍋post at least 3 IG posts per week

🍋personally journal 3 times a week

🍋work out a little bit every day

🍋lose at least 20lbs*

🍋drink at least 1L of water per day

🍋meditate for at least 10 minutes every day

🍋be accountable

🍋love freely

🍋don’t hold back

🍋embrace life and all its ups and downs

*side note: I put on about 20lbs during the first pandemic lock down; I was already up 10lbs at that point from dealing with the stress of my separation and divorce. I am currently already down 11lbs since November, and I don’t plan to stop until I meet this goal, I have been unhappy with my weight gain, and am finally at the point mentally where I can work on my physical body.

These are such easy goals. Easy things to keep myself accountable, to continue to grow as a person, and embrace everything that life has to offer.

I will keep this post short and sweet, as it is the first post back. I took some much required time off to get through some things that were holding me back. But, I am here, and going to keep myself accountable to be here for those who need me.

I definitely feel more energized, refreshed and ready to take on 2021 and all of the amazing things I am anticipating from it.

What are your new year’s goals?

What are somethings you plan to accomplish in 2021?

They don’t have to be anything crazy... just start with a small change and see how it can drastically impact your life.

I wish all the best for each of you in 2021, and hope that you can take the lemons from 2020 and make the best damn glass of lemonade anyone has ever had.
